Poland China

A new hog college selection process will be used this year.   A $500 payment credit will be awarded to the owner of the Poland China Hog College Boar and Gilt.  A VHS video must be sent to the PCRA office on or before August 1, 2006 with a high quality video of your candidate with a copy of pedigree and known stress status.  A committee of five individuals chosen by the Board of Directors will select the winning entries.  Failure to submit a video by August 1, 2006 will eliminate you from consideration.   We ask your cooperation in this unique and exciting opportunity. 

Spotted

The Spotted Board has decided to offer $500 to the owner of the 2006 Spotted Hog College Boar and Gilt.  This financial award will be offered for future services to Spotted work.  A high quality VHS video must be received in the Spotted office on or before August 1, 2006.   Included with this video must be a copy of the pedigree and known stress status of the animal.   A five person committee will be used to select the Hog College animals, that will be on display and sold at the National Barrow Show.  It is imperative that all videos be sent by August 1, 2006.  If the Spotted breed does not receive videos by the assigned date, no Hog College animals will be selected.

Chester White

All Chester White breeders are encouraged to submit VHS videos on prospective National Barrow Show eligible boars and gilts.  Entrants must be farrowed January 1, 2006 and after and come from a litter of 8 pigs farrowed or more.   Please supply the CWSRA with a copy of the pedigree with video.   All videos must be received in the Chester White office on or before August 1, 2006.  Please contact Jack Wall at 309-945-3312 if more information is needed.
